I love it when my two worlds collide. I work with people a lot, providing energetic healing and intuitive guidance. Of course, I’m also often talking with animals.
A Conversation with Misty
A few weeks ago, I spoke with a wonderful passed-over horse named Misty. Misty was very busy in heaven. Her mom wanted to make sure she was okay and also to understand her sudden passing.

Misti the Destiny Maker
Misty showed me a horse auction. Horse auctions are frenetic, upsetting places.
I asked, “Are you on the other side?”
She said, “I am.”
I asked, “Are there horse auctions on the other side?” (I was really worried at this point.)
She said “Oh, no, of course not. I’m working at a horse auction making sure this horse gets bought by that person.”
I saw a small, liver colored quarter horse, nervously shifting from one foot to the other. He was frightened.
He didn’t know at that point that he would be adopted by a family that would provide a decent, loving home to him.
As humans, we know a little about destiny. We think that the stars align. Here’s a horse showing me destiny in process.
I said “This is your job?”
Misty said, “Yes. I am a destiny-maker.”
***
This weekend, I was working with a teenaged people client, who is going through a very hard time. I use my intuitive gifts to understand conscious and unconscious beliefs and to heal the energetic body. This enables people to work through their problems, and move forward in their lives with ease and grace.
Anyway, this young lady was at a very difficult place in her life. She felt unloved. She felt unlovable. Her root chakra was a dark, grey empty tomb of a room.
So, we worked on this. My client and Creator and I facilitated healing. Her energetic body felt a lot better.
At the very end of the session, I got the message, “She needs horse energy.”
I had NEVER heard of horse energy. I’ve been around healing horses (and dogs and cats), but I’ve never considered that each species may have an energy that’s useful in and of itself. Yes, I know about totems. I thought it was mostly metaphor.
So, I talked with my reiki practiioner friends, Ming and Candy, who are also treating this teenager.
I said, “She needs horse energy. Can I hook you up with a horse to do reiki with?”
Ming and Candy use a cat from the other side, Sophie, to facilitate reiki healing sometimes. Why not try a horse?
Ming said, “Sure. Do you know of any?”
I thought about Misty. Would Misty bring horse energy to this person?
I contacted Misty. I said “I know somebody who needs horse energy.” I said it the way you order something at a restaurant that you’ve never tried before and know nothing about. Like, “I’d like to order the crawfish?”
Yeah.
Misty said, “That’s not my charter. You need to talk to Parker.”
Parker
She introduced me to a horse named Parker. Parker is a beautiful Overo stallion, black and white with a few errant speckles here and there. I said “Um…I know a person who needs horse energy.”
Parker said, “Somebody needs horse energy? Let’s hook them up.”
I showed him the client. Then I showed him Ming and Candy. ”Could you work with these two?”
Parker said, “I will work with them, and we will also provide more horse energy.”
“Thank you!” I said.
Parker knew and understood what I meant when I asked for horse energy.
I asked what he meant,.
Parker said, “It is the power of the hoof (he stomped). It is standing up for what you believe in. It is the knowledge that you are part of something strong, unbreakable.”
Perfect for the vulnerable, unlovable teenager.
The Outcome
Ming and Candy sent reiki to the client the next night. Ming called on Parker to provide horse energy. Ming saw bolts of red lightning. Her hands got extremely hot.
The teenager feels better. She’s making better choices. Time will tell what horse energy will bring her.
I am going to spend more time meditating on horse energy.
Another Horse Energy Definition
Ming sent me this quote from Animal Speak by Ted Andrews:
Horse is a dignity that is impossible to diminish. Even
pulling a plow or bearing the meanest burden, Horse maintains a noble bearing.
Horse has shouldered his burdens without surrendering his essential nature. Even after his thousands of years of servitude when let loose to run wild
Horse becomes in a very short time the untamed spirit he was destined to be.
Perhaps this is Horse’s greatest medicine, the knowledge that no matter what we
have borne in the past, there always exists in us the waiting seed of our true
selves. Horse shows us how to carry our burdens with
ease and with dignity, but more importantly, he shows us that we are always and
forever free.
I’d love to hear your experiences with horse energy!
WOW – that is all I can say! What a great blog post!
Thanks so much Bridget for helping us with this teen. The experience for me in using Parker was a great one in itself. Having this horse send energy through me was awesome. I’m going to use your blog to share our experience with others. You have written it so well.
man, you actually made me cry. with recognition the tears come. Thanks for insisting we all follow the path to healing in all it’s myriad disguises.
I reiterate the WOW and the tears. Very awesome. I’ve felt it myself. Wonderful to have it defined so clearly.
I love, love, LOVE knowing that there are horses on the other side doing the work of Destiny Maker!!!! How cool is that!!!
I’m so excited to learn about Parker and the Horse Energy- I’ll have to start working with him at the Healing Ranch! Because who doesn’t need to know that they are part of something strong and unbreakable!
Thanks so much for these heart warming stories- there are always so many more healing resources available than we ever imagined possible, eh?!
Horses are amazing creatures in so many ways. I haven’t spent a lot of time with them, but every time I have, it’s been an incredibly powerful experience seeing and feeling those horses’ souls.
I hope I get a chance to work with more horses in my own animal communication and Reiki work. This may actually happen soon, since our local SPCA is in the planning stage of building a large-animal barn.
Wow is right! I love what you said about thinking of totem animals as metaphor, and then getting this message.
According to Chinese ‘Astrology,’ I was born in the year of the horse, in fact I am a fire horse (talk about unbreakable). Historically for Chinese women being a fire horse girl wasn’t a good thing. This poat is a great reminder to me to summon my own horse energy when those dark and empty times come.
Power of the hoof!
Thank you Parker and Misty and Bridget.
Wonderful post Bridget! A your friend Vanessa shared it with me when she saw my post on FB “A Little Wisdom Through the Way of the Horse”.
I coach people in life and business with the assistance of horses (the physically ones) and am in complete reverence of their power to connect and to transform.
Thanks for sharing Horse-Power with the world!
