“After taking Bridget’s class, I feel so much closer to my pets. I check in with them when I’m away from home, and feel like I know, even more, what they’re thinking about and how to help them feel happy.”- Patty Anderson

Bridget’s Animal Communication Workshop

I love teaching this class, and I hope I can again, someday, but this next year is focused on another project, so this is the last Animal Communication course I’ll be teaching for a long time.

That means it needs to be awesome, right? Like all the other ones? Even Better? You got it.

Learn to talk with animals, including:

- The 9 different ways animals communicate
- How animals think differently than people
- How people think and how our thinking patterns get in the way of communication
-Your unique communication strengths
-How to deepen your relationship with your pets
-How to break through the silence and connect deeply with your pet
-The key to talking with wildlife
-How to talk with any animal anywhere
-How to find lost animals
-How to talk with animals that have passed to the other side
and more.

A Most Awesome Side Effect

The majority of my students have found that their intuition has grown in other areas as well, simply by learning how to tune into their animals.

Another Huge Bonus

My dog Olive? yeah, we talk to her. You’ll get a chance to hear her tell you stuff.

Workshop Logistics

The workshop starts Tuesday, October 5th. For 5 consecutive weeks, we’ll meet and practice talking to animals.

Each 2-hour class is repeated in its entirety on the following Saturday morning. For you east coasters and folks overseas, the Saturday make-up class is a great way to take part. Tuesday night’s class starts at 6 pm Pacific, and runs for two hours. The Saturday make-up class starts at 10 am.

If you miss both class times, each class is also recorded and available for you to listen anytime you want.

We use an online teleconference to call in and talk with each other. You do not need a webcam. You do need an internet connection.

Each class also includes an e-book with plenty of information and exercises to further your practice.

In-between classes, we’ll use a facebook page to discuss our results, share our pets’ pictures and keep in touch.

A one-on-one 20-min. mentoring session is also included!

Everybody Can Talk to Animals

I’ve taught hundreds of people to talk with animals. The hardest part is believing you can do it. I know you can.

Join Us

Cost: $200

To join us, visit the workshop page and hit the pay now button. Then, pay via Paypal. You’ll receive a welcome from me, along with information about how to participate.

Hey Friends-

It’s Bridget.

I’m changing how I do things around here.

I love working with pets. I especially love pet cases where I can make a significant difference in the life of the pet in question.

So, I’m changing who I work with, and how much I charge.

As of September 1st, I will take new clients on a case-by-case basis. Each new client session is $250. I will choose the client cases that are the best fit for my work. For $250, you get up to 2 hours of my time.

If the case is not one that’s a fit for me, I’ll recommend another animal communicator to you.

Why am I limiting my practice?

I’m REALLY GOOD at what I do. I want to work with my current clients and with new clients that I can really help. I like to help the difficult cases. I like to help motivated owners.

And…I find that the best way to help animals sometimes is to help people. If I can make people better, animal situations get better.

People who hire animal communicators have pretty good relationships with their pets already.

So, I’m working with people, and providing intuitive guidance to them. This is where I can really help people and pets. This is where I can really make the world a better place.

I still want to work with my current clients, because I love them. They are all awesome. And I want to help the pets that really need me moving forward.

So Who’s a Current Client?

Anybody that I’ve worked with before.

If I have worked with any pet of yours, I will talk with any pet of yours. You are a current client.

Current Client Session Changes

Moving forward, a current client session is $110. It’s 45 minutes of my time with you, plus about 20 minutes with your pet, prior to our call. I will not be doing shorter sessions than that. I wish I had the time and head space to do so. I don’t.

What about Grief Calls?

I’ve done a lot of work with end of life and grieving pet parents. I’d like to continue this work. If you are dealing with an end of life issue, or you’ve recently lost a pet, and you’re not a current client, and you’d like to work with me, please email me. In these situations, I typically charge the current client rate.

Workshops

I’m offering my intuitive animal communication course one last time in October. Please join me. I will not be teaching this in the foreseeable future. I might bring it back when I have time again, but probably not. Life is short.

A Little Advice

If you want to work with me in the next year, and you’re not a current client, buy a session now. Each session is good for a year. Simply hit the Returning client button on the Consult page. I’m happy to add you to my roster.

Deep Love

I love you. Thanks for understanding. You can contact me anytime at bridget@petsaretalking.com

Keiko is one of my favorite cat clients. He’s a warm, warm buddha of a cat.

He passed away last year, but from time to time, his owner likes to check up on him.

When I tuned into Keiko, he was very happy to hear from me, which made me feel really good. This cat is so welcoming and accommodating.

I asked him to show me where he is, and he first shows me tall stalks of a wheat-like grass. Then I see a Keiko cruising by the wheat, on his way somewhere.

It’s an agrarian scene. I see two Vietnamese men with a cart and large barrels made of a reedlike material. They are filling them with a fluffy grain, like tips of wheat.

I ask, Who are these?

Keiko says, These are my friends.

He shows one of the men playing a stringed instrument, and the other setting a bowl of fish in front of Keiko. The fish was studded with bits of green onion and spices.

When I talk with Keiko’s owner, she says that Keiko had a great predilection for the food of Eastern Asia.

It’s interesting about the men working. The jobs that are in heaven are usually spiritual jobs. They’re helping people on earth. They’re improving the understanding of others. They’re praying. There is no need for food because food isn’t necessary. You can conjure up whatever food you’d like. So that these men are spending their day growing it and moving it and whatnot means that this act of work must be pleasurable, I’m guessing? It’s interesting.

Keiko Visits

She asks me to ask Keiko if he still comes around to visit.

Keiko tells me that he visits her every Tuesday. It turns out that as a novelist, Tuesday is her day to write. It doesn’t surprise her that Tuesday is the day that Keiko chooses to come around. Last week, she was, coincidentally writing about walking by tall stalks of wheat!

Interesting how the imagery is the same!

After much warm sweet joyful greetings back and forth, and a hello to Keiko’s cat friend on earth, Gigi, we let Keiko go back to his time with his friends.

It was the kind of email that I dread to receive. An injured barn cat had disappeared. He had been limping for about four days. The limp was getting worse, but he wouldn’t let himself be caught, and then for two days, he was gone.

Barn cats have a precarious existence. Big Kitty lives in an area thick with coyotes. I’m sure the gal who owns the barn, Linda, would love to have Big Kitty safe in her house. Unfortunately, Big Kitty doesn’t much care for people. It took Linda four years of feeding him before he touched her hand, and let himself be pet.

So, when Big Kitty disappeared, Linda was heartbroken.

Last night, I tuned into Big Kitty. He was alive. He was injured. He was in the woods by the barn. He told me that he was very close, but he’s concerned about going in the barn because he did not want to go to the vet. I asked him to please move back into the barn where it’s safe. I told him that nobody was going to take him to the vet.

I emailed Linda with the news. She wrote back:

I am just home from the farm and am overjoyed to report that I saw him twice tonight. First, in searching the barn from top to bottom, a friend and I startled him from a hiding place in something like an attic above the tack room. He ran down steps and down the main aisle and across the indoor arena to get away. He was moving at top speed. We didn’t pursue or continue our search because it was clear that although injured, he was alive, at home in the barn, close to food and water, and didn’t want us to approach.

My worst fear was that he had holed up somewhere and given up. You are absolutely right that his spirit is strong.

This morning, I tuned into Big Kitty and he and I had a long conversation about his body, how his injury happened (he caught his leg in a door), and the vet. Big Kitty said, I don’t want to go to the vet. The vet smells bad. I don’t want to smell like the vet.

When I told Linda about the conversation, she gasped and laughed and told me about how the last time Big Kitty was at the vet, they had put him in the box they use to anesthetize animals for surgery, and Big Kitty had urinated all over himself.
When they went to clean him up, they used a dry shampoo that smelled like jasmine. Linda said that Big Kitty was very upset by the smell of it. She could just tell that he was saying that this was not how a Barn Cat should smell like!

Big Kitty wanted his food in one spot and no other, so as not to attract “predators”. By predators, he meant (Linda told me) feral cats that want to come into the barn and eat his food.

Big Kitty promised to stay in the barn to recover and Linda promised to not take him to the vet but to stay with him and talk with him. This was hard on Linda, because he’s not putting pressure on that leg. Still, she wants her friend to stay in the barn where it is safe, and not in the woods where the coyotes can get him.

I’m going to talk with Big Kitty again tomorrow, to try to get an understanding of the severity of his injury, and to see if he’d be willing to have a vet visit him at the barn, if they promise not to bring that stinky stuff.

I am partial to animals named Lily.

There’s Lily the horse (who belongs to my friend, Simrat):

There’s Lilydelphia, a lovely pittie belonging to Alexandra:

And there’s Lily the Cat, who lives with Liz in Maryland:

And Lily’s housemate, Lotus

So, Lily and Lotus and their owner, Liz have been clients of mine for a while now. The last time I talked with Lilly and Lotus, it was to find out why Lotus was not a fan of Lilly.

Because Lotus is not a fan of Lily. And Lily is all kinds of sweet, kind and wise.

Lotus runs up and hisses at Lily and then runs off. She won’t let Lily on the bed. She is just not hospitable.

So What’s Up with That?

Lotus doesn’t like Lily, she said, for several reasons, including this gem: She Smells.

She also told me that Lily was on her last nerve.

It turns out that Lily is wise and Lotus is street-smart. There is a wide variety of intelligence in the animal world. Not all intelligences mix well, it seems.

Lily’s Lungs

Lily suffers from lung disease. Happily, things are looking up for Lily. She gets to stop taking oral prednisone after being on it for nearly a year. Her lungs, which were inflamed with chronic pneumonia, are now clear and doing well.

Prednisone is awful stuff.

One of the side effects is that it makes you insatiably hungry and thirsty all of the time.

So poor Lily has ballooned up to 16 lbs. She’s so big that she can’t effectively clean herself. Hence, the she smells comment from Lotus.

My conversation with Lily was mostly to see how she was feeling and to tell her how she can lose some weight, and also to talk with her about Lotus.

She’s feeling great. She started talking to me about cilia. Cilia are the little hair-like thingies in your lungs that help move the microscopic bits of stuff out. Hers are working well.

Now, this is odd, folks. I’m not used to cats throwing around a term like cilia.

When I asked Liz, Lily’s owner, she said, Oh yeah, the vet showed us the x-rays, and talked with us about cilia yesterday. He was holding Lily in his arm and showing both of us her lungs.

Smart Cat.

We talked about eating less and exercising more. Lily mentioned that she wanted to catch mice like Lotus.

That’s a great goal, I told her.

And a great segue into talking about Lotus, her crabby, hissy sister.

What Lily said about Lotus

Here’s what wise Lily said about Lotus.

Lotus is scared of me because I’m so big. She told me that I could squash her like a bug.

I said, Does that make you feel bad?

Lotus said, No, she can’t see my true nature. It’s all right.

No judgment. No anger. Just a simple fact. Acceptance.

That’s a lesson that I need to learn. Often, when people lash out, it has a lot more to do with their perception than who we are.

Smart Cat.

We’re going to talk with Lotus soon, to try to explain to street-smart Lotus that Lily has a right to not be hissed at.

Nancy contacted me to talk with her 13 year old cat, Clovis.

Clovis

Initially, it was going to be a conversation about how he was feeling physically. However, by the time his appointment came around, there was no question that Clovis was dying of intestinal cancer.

Please don’t stop reading this.

When I first tuned into Clovis, he said, “Tell my mom that I love her and I’m sorry and I thought we’d have more time.”

I called Nancy to see how his diagnosis was. He had been on steroids for two weeks, and his appetite was initially better, but had now fallen off again, and the normally fastidious cat was having accidents around the house.

This cat had only been sick for a few weeks. Clovis told me he was in a lot of pain, but was he ready to go?

I asked him, and he said, “I’m not ready to go. What will my mom do without me? She needs me. I can’t go.”

I told Nancy this, and she said, “It’d be selfish to make him stay since he’s suffering so badly. You tell him that I’ll miss him but I’ll be okay.”

I told Clovis this, and also that he was going to the other side where he wouldn’t be in pain, and also that perhaps he could come back and of course, he’d be able to see and help Nancy after he passed away.

I felt Clovis get peaceful. “Okay.” he said. “As long as she’s going to be okay.”

I started crying at this point, because this sweet cat wasn’t thinking about his pain at all.

Clovis and his mom had a few more hours together to say their goodbyes. She called me back to have me tell him that he’d be going to the vet to be put to sleep. While we were on the phone, she said that whenever I was talking with him, his ears perked up like he was listening. Then, as she and I talked, Clovis walked over to the cat carrier and stepped into it.

Normally he hates the cat carrier. You can’t get him near it.

Later this afternoon, I received an email from Nancy. Here’s a piece of it…

I wanted
to tell you that Robin, (the pet sitter that took Clovis to the vet) said she
has never ever seen an animal go so peacefully. Clovis hates the car and
the vet office, being in his carrier, you name it, he gets stressed very
easy. Today he never made a sound in the car or the vet’s office, Robin
said he just purred and rubbed on her as if to let her know he was ready.
She said that Clovis never flinched or fought and he passed away before the
shot was even finished being injected. He was so ready to let go after
our conversation today.

The vast majority of my clients are like Nancy. They put their animals’ well-being first. I love that aspect of my job! And even though it’s sad to see Clovis go, it’s an honor to help a sweet cat peacefully pass.

I’m talking with Clovis on the other side on Friday.

From time to time, we intuitive animal communicators trade with each other. When you can get a good read on your friend’s pet, and your friend is a communicator too, it’s incredibly edifying.

So, when Janet Roper, an excellent communicator from Minneapolis asked me to talk with her cat, Billy, I was ready to help her out.

Billy

Billy is a sensitive cat who gets frightened a lot. He’s afraid to come down to his mom’s music studio. He’s a sweet, handsome grey tabby with a big heart. Janet asked me if I could facilitate some emotional healing.

I’ve been working on a healing modality with my people clients. It resolves issues in the energetic body and creates lasting emotional changes. I thought I’d try it on Billy.

Animals have chakras just like people. We have experiences and beliefs that impact our energetic system and when we’re not feeling energetically whole, we behave in ways that aren’t good for us.

So, I worked through Billy’s chakras, facilitating energetic healing. It’s a technique that’s similar to theta healing, but focused specifically on chakras.

I also made him a custom floral essence blend with 26 floral essences to support his energetic health.

Billy was so sweet. When I tuned in with him, he mentioned that he wanted to learn to not be afraid of children. Janet told me later that as a kitten, in a previous home, Billy had been severely abused by a child. Janet was touched that Billy was willing to work on that. Billy also wanted to get over his fear of dogs. A new dog, Max, was going to be joining their family.

Max Roper

I talked with Billy again a few weeks later. He felt so strong. He had made some major steps in becoming more brave, meeting the new dog, coming downstairs. Janet said that everyday she watched him decide whether he was going to take another step in his courage. Over the time, day by day, he was slowly leaving his demons behind.

Janet asked me to tell him that she thought Billy had been extraordinarily brave and intelligent in the way he had gone about meeting the new dog.

Billy said “I just put it in my head that I was
going to get through this. I am keeping my wits about me.“

The important thing to understand is that Billy was ready to not be afraid anymore. He did the work. My work with him was supportive, facilitating healing. It was his intentions that drove my work. It was his force that healed him. I’m really happy that I could help.

I’m looking forward to offering this healing modality on a case-by-case basis to other pets, and to offer custom floral essence blends as well.

This is Sebastian with his buddy, Oskar.

I asked Sebastian about the knocking over of stuff.

I said, “Sebastian, why do you knock things over?”

He showed me a couple of cylinders. I thought maybe they were pillars of some kind, like very modern pillars that you could put a candle on top. It turns out they were cylindrical containers that Caroline uses to store binder clips and push pins.

He said, “I don’t like these. They should be in larger groupings, and in odd numbers.”

He showed me a cluster of 5 or so pillars standing together. They did look quite stylish.

Caroline laughed when she heard this. She said that she always thought her cat was giving her interior decorating advice.

I wonder if there’s a market for cats like this, and also, I wonder if this is why my cat knocks jewelry off my dresser!

Trixie is a Southern Belle of a cat, the beloved kitty of Melissa.

Melissa made the difficult decision to put her to sleep. Melissa called me. She missed her so much. Could I make sure that Trixie was all right?

Most pets cross over without a problem, but Trixie didn’t. Trixie didn’t want to leave Melissa. She felt that Melissa needed her. Trixie was deeply anxious.

Trixie

When pets have passed away, if they choose to not cross over, they are in a deeply anxious state, and their owners feel it. These are the owners that say, “I don’t know why, but I’m not getting over this.” or “I’m so sad. I didn’t expect to be this upset.”

This is not to say that it’s abnormal to deeply grieve a pet. To be an owner of a pet that hasn’t crossed over is to feel a deep state of anxiety, not just a deep sense of loss.

It’s very rare, though, to encounter a pet that hasn’t crossed over.

Trixie hadn’t. She didn’t want to leave Melissa. Melissa needed her. She didn’t want to leave.

I told Trixie that she could come back, in spirit, and help Melissa once she crossed over. Trixie said, “Okay, I’m just going to say goodbye.”

I emailed Melissa to let her know that Trixie hadn’t passed over. Melissa said that she had a dream that she was fat and full and happy. This was healing for Melissa.

Trixie on the Other Side

So, I checked in with Trixie a few days later. Most pets, on the other side, are filled with joy. Their spirits are light. Trixie didn’t feel that way. She felt, well, crabby.

I said, “You crossed over, right?”

She said, “Yes.”

I said, “Okay. What are you up to?”

She showed me a cottage with a passel of little old ladies playing cards. There was some light classical music playing. Trixie sat on an antique table.

This, too, is VERY DIFFERENT, than the typical cat experience (which is full of cats and catching things, and being outside in beautiful weather).

Trixie said, “My helper said that when I want, I can stop having a owner, but I’m not ready. I need an owner.”

I showed her how to visit Melissa on earth. She was afraid to jump down. I’ve never felt fear with a pet that’s crossed over. Trixie seemed so alienated.

So, I’ve been working with this modality called “Theta Healing”. I go up to talk with God, and ask him to heal whomever I’m working with. It requires some deep meditation, but I am happy that I can do it.

I went up to talk with God. I said, “God, Trixie needs help.”

God said, “Yes, she does. That’s why I sent her to you.”

I burst into tears.

Please understand. I don’t mean to say this in a conceited way. I mean to say that it is hard for me sometimes to believe that there is a plan or that there is a destiny or that we are called to do what we do. It’s hard for me sometimes to even believe that there is a God, although I talk with this benevolent spirit often.

So to hear, “Yes, she does. That’s why I sent her to you.” was to feel a puzzle piece click into place.

God said, “You need to tell Trixie that she can do whatever she wants. She doesn’t understand this.”

Ah! Okay. I can do that.

So, I went to Trixie and said, “Hey, you can do whatever you want.”

I showed her a few things that I thought she’d like. I showed her that she could grow herself up to 60 feet tall, or she could imagine and create bowl after bowl of food. I showed her that she could chase and catch things. I showed her that she could go to Melissa.

It dawned on her that she could really do anything. Anything. Really.

“I want to go to Melissa,” she said. She was excited.

I said, “Okay. You know how to step down.”

“Yes,” she said. “I do.”

And there she went.
